Some of you may have heard, or possibly even seen the colourful walls of Yorkville’s hottest new art installation. The Yorkville Murals is an initiative presented in partnership with Taglialatella Galleries. The official launch is to showcase the growing trendy art scene in the Yorkville neighbourhood, which happens to be one of Toronto’s most star-studded areas and home to our beloved offices, SPACES. Curated artists from Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver were invited to display their creativity and talent to the Yorkille district and we’re so excited to be presenting the official #YorkvilleMurals Block Party Launch at 99 Yorkville Ave.
The 3-day Block Party is set to kick off at 99 Yorkville to mark the murals’ launch. The neighbourhood is bound to be buzzing with excitement and colour. It’s undoubtedly going to be a fun-packed couple of days, with art installations, meet-and-greets and so on.
When it comes to the food scene, Sofia Restaurant has got it covered! Guests will be able to indulge in a specially designed artsy finger food menu, along with cocktails. The Art Pub Sofia menu will be available from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with dinner service starting at 7:00 pm.
Art enthusiasts will also have the chance to attend panel discussions and movie screenings, hosted by the Ontario College of Art and Design. The event is open to the public to explore and experience the unique art installations in the heart of Yorkville. With live mural paintings and outdoor sculptures, this is truly set to be a one of a kind party!
