As the weather warms, the sun returns, and the birds and the bees flutter through the air, we’re reminded of that beautiful/joyous/incredibly stressful time known as Wedding Season. For the bride and groom (and perhaps, more importantly, for their parents footing the bill), this means it’s time to start planning the wedding shower. As people who are forever the bridesmaids and never the bride, for us this means buying yet another slow cooker, pretending to be overcome with happiness, and drinking about three too many flutes of the mediocre champagne on offer. Bitter? Never!
We digress. Planning a wedding is one of the most stressful experiences of anybody’s life, so to help we’ve chosen the top venues to host the perfect wedding shower in Toronto and the GTA. From artsy to quaint to the traditional elegant setup, each venue offers a different experience that tailors to the wedding shower of your dreams. If you’re looking for delicious food and a memorable experience, then any one of these restaurants is just the ticket!

Archeo
Located in the heart of Toronto’s historic Distillery District, Archeo is the perfect restaurant to host a trendy and beautiful wedding shower. From the cobblestone pathway to the tall brick wall buildings, and the random artwork scattered throughout not only the restaurant but the Distillery District as a whole, the location of Archeo exudes a tasteful European vibe for the ultimate celebration. Chic, loft-meets-Old-World décor is accented by dim lighting with candles, providing the perfect intimate setting, and it radiates romance, which is what marriage is all about, right? The décor including wooded panels and tables provide the restaurant with a contemporary yet 19th century aura. With an array of Italian-inspired dishes, no one will complain about the lack of flavour. Whether you take pictures inside or outside on Archeo’s gorgeous patio, it will definitely make for beautiful and artful memories.
