enRoute, that magazine you read in between mini-bottles of chardo-something on an Air Canada flights, is launching a nation-wide contest to seek out Canada’s Best New Restaurant with their People’s Choice Award. With 35 nominees spanning from Van-city to Joe Batt’s Arm in Newfoundland (jury is still out if that is actually a city or literally the limb of a guy named Joe), readers are encouraged to “Eat. Vote. Win.” by trying out the restaurants, voting for their favourite at EatandVote.com, and entering the contest in doing so. The grand prize will be a round trip for two to Toronto, two nights at the Thompson, two VIP tickets to Air Canada enRoute Canada’s Best New Restaurants Cocktail, and the use of a Jaguar while you are here plus the use of a Jaguar or Land Rover vehicle when you get home. Travel dates are November 12th to 14th. The list of nominees is based on recommendations from Canada’s leading [professional] foodies in coordination with the opinion of the magazine’s head food writer, Andrew Braithwaite, and the final Top Ten will be released in the enRoute November issue. The newest Toronto swag that you can vote for, or that you should check out, are…
