Facebook announces Messenger Public Chats coming to Canada.
Facebook has just announced that they will be reviving its public group chat feature. The world’s largest social media network already tried to launch Rooms back in 2014 without much success, however, it has re-established the service for Android users in Canada and Australia.

The Messenger Rooms feature allows users to enter a virtual room and engage in conversations with anyone around any topic. Any user can join the conversation even if you aren’t already Facebook friends. Facebook believes that their efforts will be more successful this time, due to the heavy integration of the Facebook messenger app.
It should be interesting to see how this takes off and how people use it. We expect brands to get into the mix very soon, hosting massive controlled conversations about product launches, new company directions and direct to consumer idea building.
