It was a good thing that my friends and I were at the Firkin on Yonge on the night of the Toronto Maple Leafs’ first playoff game in nine years, or there would have been little to be happy about. Despite a disappointing performance by the Blue and White, everything looks pretty good on the Firkin’s 10’ x 8’ drop-down screen. From chomping on loaded nachos to slugging down cool pints of draught, all of the auxiliary activities that night were top notch.
From start to finish, the staff were friendly and attentive, their high quality pub fare was beyond delish and their Brit Punk décor made me feel like I was in a stylish London rock parlour, circa 1978. I’m a man of strange superstitions so I’m not entirely confident that my team will fair better the next time I hit up the Firkin, but I can say with conviction that everything else that goes on in-house will be beyond favourable!
Check out the kind of exceptional experience you can expect on your next visit to the Firkin on Yonge…
