When chefs support other chefs, delicious things happen. That’s exactly what Lavelle is trying to prove with their new Canadian Chef Series.
The concept is simple: partner Lavelle’s Executive Chef Romain Avril with one of his many talented friends to create a delicious menu. For the first edition, Chef Romain collaborated with Calgary-born Chef Sean MacDonald who is set to be the Executive Chef of the highly anticipated Hexagon Restaurant opening later this month in Oakville.
Both chefs are extremely talented with Chef Romain gaining experience from Michelin starred restaurants and Chef Sean the 2016 winner of the San Pellegrini Young Chef Competition, recently representing Canada in the World Championships in Milan, Italy.
For the first of the series, the duo created a unique 10-course menu that consisted of intricate and artful dishes like Frog Tart, Cod Cheek & Smelts, Cerf de Boileau, and a Smoking Chocolate Sphere. Take a look at what was served below.
Like what you see? Keep your eye on Lavelle’s website for the next edition of their Canadian Chef Series which will be happening every couple of months. Your tastebuds will thank you.
