Yep, you read that right. The world-renowned French patisserie, Ladurée, is opening its first Ontario-based location in Toronto. Known for their delectable macarons, the Toronto location is the French bakery’s third in Canada; the first two bakeries opened in downtown Vancouver last year.
Those dying to try Ladurée’s treats will be happy to hear that the Toronto location is slated to open towards the end of 2017 in the luxury wing at Yorkdale Shopping Centre. The space will feature a 26-seat tea salon and a bakery/retail area where you can shop Ladurée’s signature macarons, teas, jams, accessories and more. According to Retail Insider, the menu will be similar to the Robson St. location’s, featuring items like French toast and ice cream.
No exact opening date has been announced yet, but we’ll keep you updated when more information becomes available.
