Recipe Of The Week: Raspberry Turnovers

Nothing screams autumn like a kitchen that smells like baked goods. Screw pumpkin errthang and hit up your local grocery store for a basket o’ raspberries a.k.a the ultimate fall fruit (in our opinion) and put that kitchen of yours to good use with these beautiful turnovers. The fluffier the pastry, the better!

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 3 cups of raspberries {frozen or fresh}
  • 2/3 cup of sugar
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch dissolved in 2 tbsp of water
  • 1 tsp vanilla

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 400
  2. Unroll the puff pastry sheet and cut into 4 squares
  3. Combine the berries, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla
  4. Heat over med until the berries begin to break down
  5. The sauce will begin to thicken quickly
  6. Once thick {about 4 minutes} remove from the heat
  7. Place 2 – 3 tbsp filling in the centre of each square
  8. Fold over into a triangle and press edges to seal
  9. Brush the tops with a little milk and sprinkle with sparkling sugar
