Kanye West Cancels Tour, in Hospital.
Juice Factor: 9/10
We’ve only given this news a 9 out of 10 because we sort of expected this from Kanye, although we have to say it is next level. After a crazy turn of events, he spewed hate for Beyonce and Jay-Z, confessed his support for Trump and sang a total of two songs before dropping the mic. Later, he announced that he was cancelling his San Pablo tour indefinitely due to exhaustion. Well, this just in, Kanye is now in the hospital. To us, this sounds perhaps like some kind of blockage to the brain. Whatever it is, we hope he’s OK.
Selena’s Acceptance Speech Brings Celebs and Fans to Tears
Juice Factor: 8/10
Everyone is talking about Selena Gomez’s return to the spotlight after accepting the award for favourite female artist, and giving a heartfelt speech. Selena took a break from her career in August, and a break from Instagram as well, due to emotional damage. The star has received amazing support from fans, and Sunday night at the AMAs, she gave a speech that moved the likes of Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, to tears. “If you are broken, you do not have to stay broken … whether you respect me or not, one thing you should know about is I care about people.” Watch the full speech below, just make sure you’ve got Kleenex close.
Blind Item: PR Maven Dating Life, Exposed.
Juice Factor: 10/10
Ok so here’s the scoop. A Toronto-based PR maven, who has never been shy to be on camera, is in a new relationship. The famous leading lady has found love again. Or so social media says. Her new beau? He’s got some serious pedigree. So much so that members of his own family have done some serious passive aggressive moves to show their disapproval of his new squeeze. We wonder, could it all be a larger scheme for, let’s say, a reality TV show? Only time will tell.
Gigi Hadid and Melania Trump? What?
Juice Factor: 8/10
Also at the AMAs, host Gigi Hadid stirred up her first ever controversy in her career. She revealed an impression of Melania Trump (skip to 2:15 in the video below), the soon-to-be FLOTUS of the USA. And the worst part? She basically was making fun of Melania by calling attention to her copying Michelle Obama’s speech. First of all, it’s old news. Second of all, her impression wasn’t even that good! Third, it wasn’t even that funny! She has received tons of flack for it and has since released an apology. Gigi should stick to her day job, modeling. Not comedy.
Fashion Santa Replaced!
Juice Factor: 10/10
The saying goes, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it! This week, Yorkdale Shopping Centre revealed their annual Fashion Santa campaign. Only this season, model Paul Mason is no longer the face of the campaign. Two years ago, Mason pitched the shopping mall with the idea to do a holiday campaign featuring himself, white hair and white beard, as a sexy Santa Claus. It was a hit. It went viral. Cheers all around. This year though, they’ve cast someone else as Santa and everyone is so upset. According to a spokesperson for the mall, they tried reaching Mason multiple times with no reply. New career, who dis?
Chrissy Teigen Apologizes for Flashing Vag.
Juice Factor: 7/10
Chrissy Teigen is so painfully PG that even when she flashes us full frontal on the red carpet, it’s pretty much innocuous. Still, her high, high, high cut dress, allowed the model and cookbook author (and wife of John Legend) to reveal her freshly lasered hoo-ha on Sunday night at the AMAs. The worst part? The star apologized for it, jokingly, on social media the next day while calling out to her laser hair removal specialist. We’re just like *yawn* flip the page. Show us something we haven’t seen before.
