Jennifer Garner pregnant?
Juice factor: 10/10
What’s the best way to ignite pregnancy rumours? Don maternity apparel, of course. Although fresh from filing for divorce from soon-to-be ex-husband Ben Affleck—just before allegations of the fallen actor’s affair with the couple’s 28-year-old nanny went public—Garner added another level of intrigue to the love triangle this week by sporting a maternity-chic top with loose-fitting jeans. The notoriously-fit starlet might be known for her love of mom jeans and baggy clothes, but she tends to dress the part for good reason. Her ongoing commitment to healthy living in between pregnancies has left her little reason to wear tummy-hiding tops when she isn’t expecting. That’s why her recent wardrobe decision has the rumour mill (OK!, Daily Mail) wondering if she’s been expecting her fourth child with the actor the entire time she’s been dealing with his betrayal. Yikes.
Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman not invited to daughter’s wedding?
Juice factor: 8/10
It seems like forever ago that Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman were together—so long ago that their daughter Isabella, 22, is now married, according to Woman’s Day. The young Cruise reportedly tied the knot on September 18 at London’s Dorchester Hotel, surrounded by a small group of friends. Noticeably absent from the nuptials? Isabella’s younger brother Connor and Tom and Nic themselves, despite the fact that Tom allegedly paid for the wedding and Kidman was a hop and a skip away in London, according to Hello! Canada. Apparently, Isabella and her new hubby wanted to keep the wedding as low-key as possible—mission accomplished.
West Queen West not so hip after all?
Juice factor: 9/10
Just over a year after Vogue Magazine declared West Queen West the second coolest neighbourhood in the world (though, word is that the “No. 2” wasn’t exactly a “second” rating but merely the ‘hood’s randomly-selected place on the list), some of the area’s most well-known and supposed up-and-coming establishments alike continue to close. Long-beloved eatery Czehoski has closed its doors, and newcomer Destingo already closed up shop, despite its impressive patio. Rumour has it Dark Horse’s West Queen West location will be the next to follow suit. So much for small businesses prevailing in the “artsy” hood…
Blind item: From A to D(list) and back again
Juice factor: 10/10
This Toronto-based fashionista is clearly having the last laugh at Paris Fashion Week. After being dethroned from a high-profile position this past spring, this trendsetter more than just landed on his feet–he’s sitting closer to the runway and is attending more international shows than his previous position ever allowed him to.
Fifty Shades of M’kaaaaaay
Juice factor: 8/10
If the first instalment of Fifty Shades didn’t get you out to theatres, maybe a “less is more” strategy will get you out to the “sin”-ema for round two. Apparently, the first film’s costume designer Mark Bridges has suggested that there may be “more mature scenes” in the sequel, which could give the film a possible NC-17 rating instead just plain R. Although this would impact the film’s release, making it more of a limited screen affair as opposed to an international big screen takeover, perhaps in”sin”uating that actor Jamie Dornan (or at least his body double) may have a full frontal will do wonders for pre-sale tickets. Maybe we’ll have something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving after all.
Blind item: Toronto power couple in trouble?
Juice factor: 10/10
This Toronto power couple likes to put on an air of being a perfect union, and their public display of happiness was easy to believe until this past summer. That’s when the not-so-better half of the duo became a little too interested in a Toronto-based editor-in-chief with whom he eventually had a liaison that didn’t stay as quiet as he perhaps intended.
Carole Middleton drinks like common people
Juice factor: 8/10
Kate Middleton might be “the People’s Princess,” but it’s her mother Carole Middleton who’s clearly the People’s Mother-In-Law. Carole was caught by paparazzi gettin’ her drink on at the Rugby World Cup where England faced off with Australia. If the rumours are true, Carole made like common people and smuggled in a mini bottle of white wine that she poured into a glass and drank in the stands.
