We were pretty stoked to be invited to Nokia’s “Seeing T.O Through a Different Lens” event and also that Nicki and Adam trusted us to vlog on our own! The weather felt more like the surface of the sun. While most Torontonians stayed shackled to their air conditioned offices, Kim and I embraced the humid weather and took a stroll – that is, “wheel,” through some historic hotspots.
With our safety gear strapped on, we wondered if segwaying would be the nerdiest activity of the day – and we were right! The segway proved to be challenging at first but by the end, we were ‘Michael Schumacher’ing through the alleyways. Our first stop, Soma Chocolatemaker for a mouthwatering tasting of 65% Peruvian dark chocolate.
The summer heat was getting under our skin and with only one remedy in sight, BEER(!), we pit stopped at The Mill St. Brew Pub for a refreshing pint of Lemon Tea Ale and Tankhouse Ambler Ale – don’t worry folks, we weren’t drinking and wheeling at this point.
We’d like to thank Chad Saliba from Nokia for the wicked Nokia Lumia 900 (@nokiacanada) smartphones and for the great touring team at Ontario Segway (@ontariosegway). We shall return to the Distillery very soon…
