While some people’s love of shopping gets them into trouble, the multi-talented Joelle Litt has turned her passion for the latest fashion collections into her profession. As a fashion stylist and personal shopper, Litt has made a career out of putting together enviable wardrobes and styling killer looks. As an editorial art director for BonBonMag.com, she also finds time to show off her unique approach to style in cutting edge fashion shoots. We caught up with Litt to find out more about her cool career path and current interests and obsessions.
Tell us a bit about yourself. What should people know?
I am a fashion stylist/personal shopper. I also curate and art direct editorials for an image-driven magazine, BonBonMag.com (currently working on the fourth issue). I am represented by Judy Inc.
What are the biggest challenges and best rewards about what you do?
Working with new people everyday – always a challenge, always a reward.
What are three things you can’t live without?
Vacations hidden away from tourists, my Victorinox Hardside Spinners (luggage – in black – makes both work and travel much easier), cappuccinos.

…it feels like home but it’s big enough to get lost in if I want to.
What’s your favourite restaurant and why?
Sotto Voce is like a home away from home. Great food, ambiance, staff, music – best place to unwind.
What’s one of your favourite go-to designers/brands or accessories lines and why do you sport their fashions?
I follow trends for work, but when it comes to my own personal style I prefer classic pieces with an edge – like Jeremy Laing, Line Knitwear, Horses Atelier – and I am currently obsessed with TBAshoes.com. I am a minimalist when it comes to accessories, but I absolutely love what The Leather Atelier has been up to.
What products are always in your beauty/grooming bag?
Maybelline Super Stay Lipstick in Wine and Forever, WORLD Clean Hair and Skin Cleanser, WORLD Protect Hair and Skin Moisturizer – both organic and chemical free, super lightweight and very multi-purpose (world.ca). And my new fave, Marc Jacobs Chrome Nail Polish in Stone Jungle.
What style trends are you obsessed with right now?
I love midi skirts and dresses and chunky heels for fall. I love white for SS 2014 and pinstripes and hints of the 90s.
What’s your favourite spa or service?
Messy self manicures.
