TV producer and director Natalie Deane of Corus Entertainment and Cosmo TV is also a media relations specialist and freelance writer… and obviously one of the busiest women in Canadian show business. With a long career in TV, she’s interviewed celebs as diverse and William Shatner and Shania Twain to Drake and Justin Bieber and even covered the red carpet at the Grammy Awards. We couldn’t think of a better lady to profile during the celebrity-filled festival that is TIFF 2013. Check out what the lovely Natalie loves most about the city she calls home, Toronto.

Finish this sentence: I love Toronto because…
…it’s so cosmopolitan! I love being surrounded by all the cultures of the world in one amazing place. I’ve traveled the world and still feel lucky every time I touch down at home. “1 <3 TO.”
What are three things you simply cannot live without?
Besides family and friends, I’d have to say my Samsung Galaxy S4, my passport and music… gotta dance!
What’s your favourite restaurant and why?
This is a hard one because I love food and could never just chose one… I like the truffle mac and cheese and macarons at Moroco, the steak at Harbour Sixty, the pasta at Sotto Sotto, the pizza at Ciao, the lobster roll at Rock Lobster… the list goes on forever!
What’s your favourite drink/cocktail and where do you go to get it?
I like the simple taste of a good vodka soda, but you can always entice me with a well salted margarita! Yum. Make it a Skinny Girl and I’m sold.
