TOM Bids to Save TFW
Juice Factor: 8/10
Earlier this summer, IMG announced their departure from Toronto Fashion Week, closing the curtain on one of Canada’s cherished fashion events. Media pundits went into a frenzy, subsequently, hypothesizing about who or what or when would Toronto Fashion Week ever make a comeback and how long before bloggers would be fighting over each other for their front row seats. Well, at the close of TOM, Toronto Men’s Fashion Week, just this past weekend, there was a shocking announcement: TOM would be presenting Toronto Women’s Fashion Week in February 2017. However, just last month, The Collections sent out an email saying they would be the ones to continue to show their support for womenswear (which everyone thought was their nod to the bid). And so, the race to bid on womenswear begins. We’re waiting for Robin Kay to enter the ring. Ding Ding!
Toronto Socialite Ainsley Kerr Engaged to IBM’s Dino Trevisani?
Juice Factor: 7/10
After being predicted as one of the cast members for Real Housewives of Toronto, socialite Ainsley Kerr is raising heads again, this time about her love life. As one of Toronto’s most eligible bachelorettes, Ainsley has been cozying up to IBM Canada’s President, Dino Trevisani. Most recently, the pair were spotted leaving the tech mogul’s downtown pad at The Ritz Carlton Residence en route to his birthday dinner. The couple spent a few weeks visiting Italy this summer where rumour has it, Trevisani may or may not have put a ring on it. We just can’t stop watching the pair. Some people have T-Swift and Tom, we have A-Kerr and Dino.
En route to dinner… #datenight #birthdayboy

Chloe Wilde and Jesse Giddings Join CTV’s etalk
Juice Factor: 7/10
On Monday evening, CTV announced that two new team members would be joining the etalk ranks, prefacing the reveal with cryptic tweets, later to reveal Jesse Giddings and Chloe Wilde as the chosen ones. Jesse will be reporting with his eyes and ears on the ground in Los Angeles, while Chloe will join the studio team back home in Toronto. As the show airs its 15th season, the pair will hit the ground running with TIFF red carpet coverage just around the corner. Things are definitely changing for the better at CTV with the launch of their new morning show, Your Morning, in addition to the news at etalk. E! host, Liz Trinnear tweets out: “Congrats homies!” and we all feel the same.
Drake and Meek Mill Beef Re-Ignited
Juice Factor: 7/10
Fresh off the TMZ news mill, it appears that Meek Mill put a blockade in place last Saturday night to smoke Drake out of his hometown, Philadelphia. Apparently, Meek’s camp put out calls to nightclubs asking them to turn down Drake should he, could he, would he, throw an after-party. Meek’s hope, we guess, was to deter his enemy rapper from even performing. But that totally blew up in his face. Not only did Drake perform, but he cussed Meek on stage, calling him a “p***y.” Turns out, Drake didn’t even bother throwing an after-party in the city and just got the hell out, with his bodyguards at his side. So, does this mean war? Again? Also, marry me, Drizzy.
Ryan Lochte Loses Sponsorships
Juice Factor: 8/10
The 12-time Olympic medalist was hit with some bad news today in the aftermath of his Rio scandal where the athlete made up a story about being mugged at gunpoint by a police officer in Brazil when really he was just drunk and lost his wallet. The biggest sponsors to pull out? Speedo and Ralph Lauren. In addition to these mega-brands, Syneron-Candela and Japanese mattress maker Airweave also pulled out their sponsorships. In case you’re wondering, BBC reported that Forbes estimates Lochte’s sponsorships for the Rio Olympics to be between $1m-$2m. It’s time to say bye-bye to those reales for real!
Jay-Z “Don’t Mess With Papa Bear” Swats Beyonce’ Fan
Juice Factor: 8/10
When Jay-Z and Bey showed up at the SVA Theatre in New York on Monday night, the news spread like wildfire. Of course, TMZ was the first on the scene and what they captured on video has literally become the talk of the day. When the couple left the theatre, a huge crowd had amassed with girls literally crying for a picture with the Queen. One fan was so adamant, toting his little H&M bag, brushed up against Bey trying to get a pic with her. Wha-pa-pa-pow! Jay-Z swoops in to swat the fan like a little fruit fly tryna get to the honey. Stay away from my Sugar Crisp! Ohhhh yeaaaah.
