Qigong
Have you seen those folks in the park practicing a slow, mindful martial art? You may have been watching Qigong, an ancient Chinese practice that integrates physical postures, breathing techniques, and focused intention. Try it out at Vital Health Medical and Wellness where’s there’s free Qigong on Monday and Wednesday mornings for all of July into August from 7:30am to 8:30am.

Yoga
Every week Lululemon stores and showrooms push their products aside, unroll yoga mats, and turn their spaces into instant yoga studios. Dance
Rumba, West Coast Swing, and Viennese Waltz are just some of the dance styles you could learn at the free Friday night classes that DanceSportBC hosts at Robson Square. Date night just got easy and cheap.
Zumba
No dance experience or partner is needed for the free Monday night classes on the North Point of Canada Place. Join the dance party outdoors at 5:30pm throughout July and August. Note: It’s cancelled if there’s rain.

MEC Clinics, Runs and Cycles
Head to the king of outdoor equipment stores, MEC on West Broadway, for everything from bike maintenance tips to day hikes, group cycles and trail runs. Most events are free, but some do cost so check the website to be sure.
