FOOD
If you’re looking to cook some big family meals or fire up the grill over the weekend make sure you stock up on your groceries beforehand. Most grocers will be closed but some may still be open on both Canada or Monday, July 2 . Call your local grocer ahead of time and double check their schedule.
If you’re eating out this long weekend you should be in luck as restaurants are expected to have their doors open. But we still suggest calling ahead and making sure where you plan to eat is open.
TRANSPORTATION
Don’t worry, the TTC and GO Transit will still be running, but will be doing so on holiday scheduling on Canada Day. This is the same for all other GTA transit systems in case you were thinking about heading out of the city.

But on Monday, TTC and GO Transit and other GTA transit systems will be running on Saturday’s schedule. So make sure you to plan your travels with that in mind.
SERVICES + ALCOHOL
Since Canada Day falls on a Sunday this year, closures will be observed on Monday. With that in mind all banks, government offices and Canada Post will be closed July 2, 2018. Also we recommend grabbing your booze before Sunday. All LCBO and Beer Store locations will be closed July 2, 2018.
