Word on the street is the Euro is at an all-time low while the Dollar is keeping it’s head strong, making right now the cheapest time to travel across the pond. For the first time in nine years, the Euro, in the summer of 2014, dropped to $1.19USD, which at the time was completely unheard of. Analysts predicted that by the time 2016 rolled in, the Euro would drop well under that to a mere $1.18USD — and those predictions became reality when at the beginning of 2015, the Euro fell to $1.1864USD. For us up North, the Euro lands at $1.32CAD. And boy is it ever plummeting.
With that in mind, it’s time you screw the typical Eurotrip involving traditional cities like London, Paris, and Rome, and opt for underrated European cities that are a little outside the norm like Forentro, Halstatt and Burano, making your Instagram feed and Facebook albums ridiculously envious and lust-worth. Think Eastern European cobble-stoned roads unlike other; white sands on a Spanish island that only locals know about; the most colourful architecture that will be sure to turn any frown upside down — the list goes on.
So go on, head on to your favourite travel site, book those tickets, pack those bags and fill up your social media platforms with breathtaking (filter-free) pictures from your European adventure to these unconventional Euro cities!
