It’s no secret that pretty much everybody in the View the Vibe office is lusting for the new Alexander Wang X H&M Collection. The collaboration, which premiered to a celeb-filled catwalk in NYC on October 16, will be available for purchase today (November 6) and it’s probably the closest thing we’ll get to Christmas until… well, Black Friday. This is the latest high-low designer team-up for H&M, who has previously worked with industry big shots Isabel Marant, Maison Martin Margiela, Karl Lagerfeld, and Matthew Williamson.
The Alexander Wang X H&M collection features mostly unisex, day-to-night pieces inspired by workout clothing, New York City urbanity, and street gear. Ranging from winter parkas to slip-on sandals, expect lots of mesh, leather, neoprene, and all-WANG-everythang. It’s been much-hyped by fashion media internationally, including ad campaign images featuring Joan Smalls, Isabeli Fontana, and a catwalk appearance by dreamboat male model Tyson Beckford. Oh yeah, and Rihanna kicked it in NYC dressed head-to-toe in Alexander Wang X H&M. Needless to say, you’ll probably want to line up early. Like… night-before kind of early.
