Spring has finally shown up (Thankfully) so it’s a good time for us guys to make sure our skin care game is on point as we will naturally be showing more of it. Here are some easy spring skin care tips for men.
Hydration
We all know it but it bears repeating water is essential if we want to have healthy skin. Have a glass as soon as you wake up then get at least 5 more in throughout the day for good measure.
Alcohol
The lure of the patio will be calling us and even the strongest of us will answer to drinks in the sun, we just have to be mindful of its effects on our skin. Aside from the severe dehydration it forces our skin to dilate leading to blackheads and pimples which when not properly treated can lead to cystic acne which none of us want. It also hampers our sleep which is problematic since that’s when our body does its rejuvenation thing. So we can still indulge but make wiser choices like red wine and tequila, always enjoy with food and keep it in moderation is always the better way to go.

Keep It Clean
Your face gets assaulted by the environment and our pores are getting clogged so a good face washing routine is essential to keeping it fresh. A good exfoliant is necessary to really get the grind off at night and in the morning a solid cleansing balm is good way to start the day to keep your skin looking young.
Moisturize
Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. Did I mention moisturize? There is a plethora of options out there doing a little research and pick the one you think is right for you. The key is to be using one daily preferably a couple times a day.
Sunscreen
Applying sunscreen EVERYDAY is important. The sun as much as we love her doesn’t love us back. Get a brand with a good SPH 20 or higher that is light but does the job. Otherwise that baseball glove look will hit you hard and age you like nothing you want.
Sleep
Beauty Sleep is not just for the ladies so call it Handsome Sleep if you must just get it. As alluded to earlier good sleep is the absolute best thing you can do to help keep your skin looking its best. As you sleep blood flow is boosted to the skin which helps give that fresh morning glow, prevents dark circles and that puffy eye situation that has affected us all. So do your best to get those 7-8 hours of shut eye so that you wake looking and feeling your best.
