Are you looking to save some cash by making your own coffee at home? If so, we are here to tell you that you can make your favorite cafe drinks in your kitchen with little effort. From making cafe lattes to frozen mochas at home, keep reading below to see some of the best easy coffee recipes.

Cafe Latte at Home

If you’re someone who loves going to grab a latte from your favorite cafe but don’t like how the price adds up day after day, then you should consider making a latte at home. It’s really easy and will save you money in the long run.

To make your latte at home you will only need 3 ingredients:

  • milk of your choice (dairy or dairy-free)
  • strong coffee
  • syrup (which is optional).

Start by brewing 1/2 cup of strong coffee and pour it into your cup (you can pour it over ice to make it an iced latte). Then add 1/2 cup of your milk and pour 1/4 cup of syrup in.

Shake or stir up your drink and enjoy it! The best part about this recipe is that it can be modified to suit your calorie needs and items can be subtracted such as the syrup.

Frozen Mocha

Creating frozen coffee drinks at home will be easier on your wallet but also easier on your calorie intake since you’ll know exactly what’s going into your drink and how much. To make your own frozen mocha you will need the following ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of double-strength coffee
  • 1 cup milk of your choice

Throw all the ingredients in the blender and add a cup of ice. You can also freeze some of your coffee into ice cubes to help keep the coffee flavor strong in your blended drink. Blend until smooth and enjoy.

Pour Over Coffee

Making pour over coffee at home is easy and delicious. To make this type of brew you will need:

  • coffee grounds
  • pour over brewer
  • pour over jug
  • paper filter
  • kettle
  • water
  • mug

To begin, you will want to heat water to 200 degrees in your kettle. Then you will want to measure out 25 grams of coffee grounds and place the paper filter into the pour over cone.

Rinse the filter with hot water and place your coffee grounds (that should be as coarse as sand) into the filter. You will then pour 50 grams of your hot water over the grounds slowly. Make sure you’re pouring in a spiral motion to saturate all the grounds.

Then you will want to wait 30 seconds and pour more water over the grounds. You should pout about 350 grams of water at this point. Wait two minutes, swirl the jug, and pour into your favorite mug to sip.

Honey Cinnamon Iced Latte

If you’re craving a sweet drink that’s light and natural, then you should be making a honey cinnamon iced latte right away. To make this delicious summer drink you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 can of brewed coffee concentrate
  • 3/4 cup of honey
  • a pinch of cinnamon to taste
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of milk of your choice
  • 3/4 cup of water

Mix all the ingredients together over ice. Stir and sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon over the top to taste.

Skinny Vanilla Iced Coffee

If you’re calorie counting then this coffee drink is ideal for any diet you may be on. To make this recipe even better, it’s low carb also.

Start out with 1 cup of brewed coffee. This can be any type, strength, and made any way your heart desires. Add 1/2 of non-dairy, low-calorie vanilla milk. Add ice and enjoy it.

You can even add some low carb sweetener to taste. If vanilla isn’t really your thing try changing the milk to a chocolate non-dairy to make a low cab mocha.

Smoothie with a Kick

If you drink a smoothie for breakfast why not combine your coffee in there too? By doing so you will still get all the vitamins and nutrients from your smoothie while adding that kick of caffeine.

For a healthy banana smoothie you will need:

  • 1 1/2 bananas
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of grated nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds
  • 1 cup coffee brewed to your liking
  • 1 cup greek yogurt
  • ice

Grab your blender and throw all the ingredients in. Blend until smooth and pour into your favorite glass.

Almond Iced Coffee

When you’re surrounded by hot weather you’ll want something to cool you down, so that’s why you should try an almond ice coffee to give you your daily caffeine intake and to help cool you down in the blistering heat. To make this coffee all you’ll need is 2 ingredients: any coffee of your choice, brewed the way you like it, and almond milk.

You will combine the two over ice and stir. Add as much or as little of each ingredient as you like. You can even add some honey to sweeten the drink up.
