Oji Seichi
One of the three owners of this new space is Michelin-starred chef Mitch Bates. He was the lead chef at Momofuku Ko in New York, along with Momofuku Shoto and Grey Gardens in Toronto. Thanks to his passion for noodles, all the noodles at Oji Seichi are made in-house with Midori, a Japanese noodle machine.
The menu is short and sweet, offering three options. These include the Classic Shio, Shoyu and Veggie Miso. You can also find a few sandwich items to choose from, including Chicken Katsu, Shrimp Sandy, Teriyaki Pork and Mushroom. For drinks, the restaurant serves a premium junmai sake, which comes with hints of maple syrup and chestnuts, with the essence of plum and green apple.
The new ramen restaurant is open every Friday to Sunday from 12 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. They are closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The patio is available, along with takeout and delivery service everyday.
