Are you ready for some Pokémon fun, Toronto? The city is getting its very own version of a Pokémon-themed Japanese café later this month and it’s set to be treat for the anime fans. This comes on the heels of the success of the Sailor Moon-themed café. It was organized by Scarborough’s Oishiii Sweets, which is the same team behind this new edition as well.

Pokémon-Themed Japanese Cafe
Categorically known as maid cafes, these hold a high level of popularity in Japan. These cosplay restaurants have waitresses dressed as maids while serving the patrons and customers. Furthermore, you can also expect a range of entertainment, performances and games, hosted by the servers.
The concept behind this version is that the waitresses are the Pokémon. As for food, the menu is set to include Japanese drinks and eats, for both sweet and savoury options. Each ticket for the admission gives you one hour at the café. The pop-up café will be there for one weekend only, on April 23 and 24.
The ticket is priced at $60 and includes the food and drink, along with entertainment. You can purchase them online on the site here.
Oishiii Sweets is known for their Japanese-inspired desserts and baked products. The menu features cakes, cheesecakes, cookies and mochi donuts. Orders can also be placed for customizable cookies and cakes. There’s a collection of treats for Easter too, available for pickup from April 15 – 18.
