On Tuesday night, it didn’t matter how cold or windy it was in Toronto. Nobody was letting weather stop them from attending the All The Glitters Gala hosted by Howie Mandel. The annual event brings out thousands of people to help raise funds for The Crohn’s and Colitis Canada Inflammatory Bowel Disease GEM Project, which is the most promising research study to ever happen for Crohn’s disease. The evenining was filled with live entertainment, a silent auction, touching stories from people living with the disease and of course, lots of laughs provided by funnyman Howie Mandel, who ended the evening with a touching sentiment to the connection he holds to Crohn’s and Colitis: “I know a lot of people that suffer from Crohn’s and colitis and I’m happy to do anything that we can do to raise awareness and funds to help the cause. It’s my home country, so it’s an opportunity to come home and help.”
Guests were feeling very generous with some guests donating up to $25,000, and an end goal of raising $1 million.
