Last week we had the pleasure of joining a bevy of Toronto influencers, social butterflies and tastemakers at the annual ARD industry bash; it is always one of Toronto’s biggest parties to kick-start the summer. The event is a way for Andrew to say “thanks” to his network – not a bad way to do it I say… This year’s theme was REMEMBER SUMMERS LIKE THIS? #StayFoolish. Guests were taken back to teenage summers as The Andrew Richard Designs Building was transformed into a retro-chic summer escape, where sweet lemonade turned hard, fries became frites, and plastic patio chairs transformed into luxurious lounges.
#StayFoolish was trending throughout Twitter like nobody’s business, the food was delicious, the vodka was flowing and the turnout was chic and sophisticated. The vibe was awesome. Carnival games in one corner, live music on the main stage, STOMP performances throughout the night, food stations everywhere, plenty of bars to make sure everyone’s glass was always full. Obviously, we zeroed in on the food stations. E11even was serving deliciously fresh lobster rolls – making them to order, which made them extra yummy – as well as an out of this world buttery pork belly on a stick. Toben, a Toronto catering company, had some fabulously designed hors d’oeuvres ranging from Asian Tuna Tartare served in a tiny cone to Insalata Caprese “lollipops” with Olive Dust and Balsamic Reduction. The County General served up beef brisket sandwiches, and Candy Bars and Cotton Candy stands were available to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth.
What a fabulous night of fun, food and a little too much of the hard stuff. *Oops* We were unable to vlog because it was just too noisy and too busy. We tried… but instead here are a few pics from the event. Best thing about this party? It reminds us all to not take life too seriously and always #StayFoolish.
