Many fans took to social media to display signs of solidarity and excitement for the Raptors. Tonight, every 6ixer was asking for the same thing; for the Raptors to secure a much-deserved Game 1 win.
But it wasn’t just us regulars who were out there feeling the adrenaline rush, a lot of big names made an appearance too! Whether it was in support of the Raptors or Warriors, celebs like Maple Leafs player John Tavares, former Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper and rapper E-40 came to show their pride.
It was not only the first time the Raptors had made it to the finals, but it also marked the first time a finals game was played outside the United States. Led by Pascal Siakam, it was truly a historic win for the team! And things are only bound to get more exciting from here on out. Go Raptors!
