Clear skin has always been an ideal goal in my books. My skin’s not the best, nor is it the worst. I have great days where my face is blemish free and smooth as ever. On others, it turns into a halloween-esque nightmare, which is never a good look… on anyone. So I’m always on the lookout for a great mask that helps pull out all the impurities in my skin. Enter Kaia Natural’s Bamboo Tapioca Beads, which is a daily 3-in-1 cleansing powder that can be used as a cleanser, mask, and/or exfoliant.

The bamboo tapioca beads act as a gentle, yet powerful, exfoliant using ‘micronized bamboo’ which is high in natural silica. The all-natural (paraben-free, gluten-free, and vegan) product is also biodegradable (yeah, I’m looking at you enviro-junkies)! The natural powders help dissolve excess oil found in your pores, while the white clay found in the formula helps draw out dirt found in clogged pores – which is something I can get behind.
What’s great about this product is that there’s no one way to use it. Looking for something simple and basic? Mix the powder with just water to create a milky paste, rub and circulate all over your face, then rinse off. You can also create a mask with the powder; just leave it on for 10 minutes and then rinse off. For the DIY aficionados, instead of water why not try mixing the powder with essential oils that are better catered to your skin type? You can check out some DIY exfoliants and cleansers here.
I found that though the bamboo tapioca beads can take some time out of your day, they truly are beneficial – and as a bonus my blackheads were gone without pain. I apply the powders as a mask on those horrid days I’m having so that I can see the results whenever I’m feeling “off” and need a pick-me-up. Now I’m dying to test out their DIY cleansers and exfoliants, and will definitely get back to you on which ones I loved and which ones were a no-go.
Here’s to fresh, clean, and clear skin. Thank you Kaia Natural!
