I’m always looking for ways to up my hair game, whether it be with a shorter blunt cut or changing up my hair colour. Only recently have I been confident enough to play with hair colour. I went from having virgin hair to a subtle ombre a few years back to recently having silvery-lilac coloured strands (which I had to chop off because the bleach from the dye job absolutely killed my hair). This time, I’m thinking of going with an all-round lighter hair shade. Not that bold, I know, but it’s definitely a big change and a big task.
I recently saw a commercial for the new L’Oreal Casting Sunkiss Blonding Jelly, which helps you and your locks go blonde sans the salon and at a gradual rate – no bleach required. Unlike your traditional boxed hair dyes, this blonding jelly looks like it would be a no-fuss application. There’s no developer and no mixing required. Apparently, you apply the jelly to dry hair wherever you feel needs that sun-kissed look. Though it’s not a one-time application, you’ll need 3 to 5 (or more) applications to get your desired shade. It’s the first of its kind in the market, and I can’t wait to get my hands on this baby.

I have a few blonde strands leftover from my last dye job, however I’m intrigued to see how this blonding jelly will work on my darker locks.
