Azra’s Pick is a weekly beauty column that features Azra’s beauty faves, from lipsticks to lotions and everything in between, specifically for gals in their 20s.
This week, I’m letting you in on a little secret. (As if I haven’t already been spilling my #IWokeUpLikeThis beauty secrets all along!) Instead of the usual beauty product, this week I’m talking about tea bags. Ordinary tea bags. And no, I’m not going to discuss which teas are great because to be honest, I’m not really a tea drinker (just don’t tell my chai-drinking South Asian grandmother). What I will talk about is how you can de-puff those bags under your eyes… because unless those bags are Prada, they’ve got to go!

Getting rid of my under-eye baggage is a constant struggle. I’ve tried creams and serums and all that jazz and they just don’t work. Tea bags, however, are a miracle worker.
If you’re looking to check that eye-baggage on a one-way flight, all you need are two already-steeped tea bags and 30 minutes. Seriously, you just need to make two glasses of your favourite tea (I use the traditional orange pekoe) and once you’ve made your drink, take the teabags out and pop ’em over your eyes, sit back and relax. I don’t do this as much as I should/want, but when I do, my eyes thank me by not looking so horrendous.
It’s a simple, natural, at-home DIY that’s tried and tested. No more tired looking eyes thanks to your everyday tea bags!
