It can be traced back to the team winning silver and securing the golden ticket to the finals in France. By coming in 11th, the country went up two positions from back in 2019. Referred to as the Stanley Cup of food, the Bocuse d’Or invites chefs from all over the world to showcase their culinary skills.
The winning national team includes Chef Samuel Sirois, sous-chef Léandre Legault-Vigneault and coaches Master Chef judge Alvin Leung and Gilles Herzog. The theme for the competition was “Feed the kids.” The ask? Each team had to develop a menu based on the marrow. One egg per portion had to be a part of the recipe.
