Our weekends just got a little better (and brighter) with news that one of our favorite spots to grab a bite is now serving up a tasty batch of brunch offerings…
Main Street hot spot Burdock & Co. has now hopped on the brunch bandwagon – adding to our go-to city list. We’ve always loved the cozy ambiance afforded by the rough yet modern décor. There’s just the right element of rustic farmhouse cool to make you feel more at home, not to mention a large communal table that begs patrons to share in conversation.

Chef and Owner Andrea Carlson has honoured her commitment to sourcing local ingredients from her network of trusted suppliers, many of whom she’s forged a longstanding relationship with (translating to first and freshest pickings year round).
Dig into unique offerings like poached eggs on a sunchoke cake with nasturtium salad or go for more traditional fried eggs on toast accompanied by wild mushrooms. Dive into something different and tackle the beef brisket ramen with candied bacon and poached egg, or try the fried chicken and pickles.

Serving something guaranteed to please all palates and preferences, Burdock & Co. has the vegan, vegetarian and gluten free bases covered too. Coronation grape clafoutis with rosemary maple syrup fits the bill, as does the autumn black bean cassoulet with smoked tofu, crunchy kale and roasted crab apple.
This new collection of brunch offerings of course comes with a plethora of sides perfect for sharing. Load the table up with scones and farm house butter, arugula salad, maple fennel bacon and even sieglinde potatoes. All told, you’re guaranteed to leave with a full belly.
For the best seat in the house, sidle up to the back bar and take in the breakfast scene by their open concept kitchen. Clutch your freshly brewed coffee, or celebrate a Sunday Funday with a cocktail (try the house specialty: Burdock Boilermaker for something heart warming).
