It’s no secret that Canada is home to numerous celebrity chefs, especially considering how versatile the food and beverage scene is here in the city. Whether it’s as guest judges or television hosts, many have gone on to make a name for themselves. One particular chef built a multi-faceted business portfolio during the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. This has now led him to launch his own line of Italian-made pasta and sauces.
Chef David Rocco
If you’re a watcher of The Food Network, then you might recognize Chef Rocco from his show, Dolce Vita. It has aired in 150+ countries and features his food travels in different cities and countries. The television star and cookbook author came up with the idea for his own pasta and sauces while stuck at home over the past couple of years.
The pasta from Chef Rocco’s line includes ones like Orecchiette, Strozzapreti, and Fusilli Pugliesi, all of which come from Italy’s Puglia region. As for the sauces, you can find Pomodoro & Basilico, Arrabbiata, Puttanesca and Ricotta & Pecorino.
“The goal of producing this line was to create the same experience as when you travel to Italy and have your first meal at a trattoria and you ask, ‘wow, why can’t we have this back home?’ Well, now you can with my authentic Italian-made pasta and sauces,” Chef Rocco stated in a press release.
You can find these products by Chef David Rocco at Loblaws, Metro, Fortinos, Longo’s and more. It will also be available via Amazon Canada early next year.
