SkipTheDishes Guide to National Eat Outside Day
There are so many options when it comes to having an outdoor picnic. SkipTheDishes wants to encourage us to shop local for food, while enjoying the vibe of outdoor dining. Imagine it: a blanket, some delicious eats, a fun beverage, music, and good people. What could be better than that on National Eat Outside Day?
This SkipTheDishes guide outlines the favourite restaurants and scenic spots to picnic from famous Canadian athletes, musicians, and chefs. You can also find tips on how to set up the perfect picnic and a picnic playlist created by Juno-nominated Indigenous music group The Jerry Cans. Being a Canadian brand, SkipTheDishes partnered with Ontario broadcaster Tyrone’s Edwards to highlight local spots to picnic along Lake Ontario and shares his favourite places to eat outside the province.
In order to encourage Canadians to eat outside, the company worked with Toronto-based design expert Candice Kaye to create a one-of-a-kind picnic blanket. You can enter to win the blanket through the National Eat Outside Day website.
