This past weekend was the 25th anniversary of the release of “Nothern Touch,” an iconic rap song in Canadian music history. To celebrate the song’s 25th-anniversary Def Jam Recordings executive and Canada’s Got Talent judge Kardinal Offishall, Juno Award-winner Red 1 also known as Rascalz, Juno Award-winner Choclair and Canada’s Walk of Fame inductee and Northern Touch video director DirectorX (Julian Christian Lutz) attended a special pop-up event.
The event was hosted by former MuchMusic VJ Master T and sponsored by D’USSÉ. The event took place on Saturday and was located at a Toronto vintage and streetwear shop called Northern Touch Vintage. In honour of the 25th anniversary, D’USSÉ created a custom Northern Touch cocktail for guests to enjoy. This year also marks the 50th anniversary of hip-hop culture and the event wanted to pay homage to this Canadian music contribution and the impact it had on global hip-hop culture.
There was exclusive limited-edition merchandise at the event as well as premium D’USSÉ cocktails and cognac tasting sessions led by a D’USSÉ brand expert.
