Over the past year, restaurants, food trucks and other spots have been both closing and opening all over the city. While we’ve had to stay goodbye to some favourites, there are also new ones gracing each neighbourhood. This time around, it’s the corner of College and Clinton that gets to say hello to a new addition, which is a Sicilian-inspired restaurant.

Zitto Zitto Taverna
The restaurant boasts a large indoor dining space, adorned with a completely homely feel. Operated by husband and wife team Anita and Alan Thomson, the establishment is meant to make customers feel like they’re in Italy. It is located next to Sotto Voce Wine & Pasta Bar and is described as Sotto’s “big sister”.
The kitchen is helmed by Sicilian chef Alessandro Militello and the menu features a variety of grilled dishes and delicacies. This includes a selection of meats and pastas, all of which offer the true flavours of Italy. Along with meat, customers can also find items with an emphasis on seafood, like grilled Mediterranean sea bass, sardines, shrimp and more.
There is no shortage of pasta dishes and comes with different toppings and ingredients. The menu also highlights options for salads, appetizers, wine and cocktails. Zitto Zitto Taverna is located at 593 College Street, Little Italy. Reservations for the Sicilian-inspired restaurant can be made online here.
