It’s safe to say that the restaurant scene has been absolutely buzzing since the city has started opening back up. Patio dining is all the rage, along with food trucks and festivals. Add to that list, Rōdie, which is Toronto’s newest takeout-only restaurant and pop-up brand. We’re talking accessible and hand-held food with the highest quality of ingredients. Excited yet?
The new concept is brought to you by Chef Chris Locke and the same team behind Marben Restaurant. They are set to operate strictly as a takeout and delivery only restaurant with no dine-in options. There will also be the occasional pop-ups. Rōdie is situated right beside the Marben Restaurant patio on Wellington Street.
So what’s on the menu? The limited set menu is expected to satisfy the craving for a quick, indulgent meal. Items featured include Celeriac Shawarma, Berkshire Dog (anzuri kraut, crispy black beans) and Rōdie Hand Pie (shortcrust pastry, chorizo, cheese curds).
The beverage list is nothing short of deliciousness as well. Designed by Marben Restaurant’s head bartender, Farzam Fallah, refreshing and sparkling cocktails are on the menu. Customers can find five alcoholic road sodas and one alc-free. One such drink is the Fernet and Cola road soda.
The takeout-only restaurant will be hosting its next pop-up on July 10 and 11, 2021. They’re expected to operate from 2pm until sold out. So you definitely don’t want to miss out on this one!
