For most people, this global pandemic has placed a major damper on the plans they had for 2020. Furthermore, it’s placed a damper on the way most people conduct everyday living. There’s only so much time a person can spend in the house. Thankfully, there are plenty of ways to still have tons of fun while remaining safe during this quarantine season. Consider the following tips.

Book a Vacation

When many people think about going on a vacation, they think about the dangers of being exposed to the virus. Thankfully, a lot of vacation rentals and hotels are increasing their cleanliness protocols tremendously. Plus, in an effort to stay afloat, many hotels are offering great discounts for interested customers. The key is to control your travel and dining. Drive your own car to the destination. Make sure it’s only a few hours away. When it’s time to eat any meals, choose outdoor dining or takeout. When you’d like to explore the city, choose outdoor areas where social distancing is respected.

Plan a Socially-Distant Picnic

Find out if a local park tends to be crowded at specific times. If not, schedule a time where you and your friends can get together for a socially-distant picnic. Everyone can bring their own chairs. Someone can set up a large picnic basket. Everyone can bring a specific dish or bring their own picnic meals. As everyone sets up their chairs to remain six feet apart, it’ll be easier to have conversation, enjoy good food and appreciate great company.

Create a Virtual Casino Night

If you have a bunch of friends who love connecting at the casino, create a similar experience from the comfort of your home. Allow everyone to connect to a similar platform such as comeon casino. By using video conferencing software, you all can see each other, facilitate conversation and have a great time.

Host an Outdoor Movie Night

If you have a large backyard, consider inviting a ton of friends over for an outdoor movie night. Since you’re the host, it’s best to go above and beyond when you’re dealing with sanitizing chairs, wiping down surfaces and making sure everything is constantly clean. Place signs in the restrooms with instructions on how to wipe down everything after usage. By hosting the party outside, it’s a lot easier to remain distant while getting fresh air. There are plenty of inflatable movie screens you can purchase or rent in order to create the look you’re going for. Set up tables for snacks and food. Make sure there are floor markers to keep everyone aware of what six feet of separation actually looks like.

Be intentional about scheduling fun experiences for each weekend. When you actively get into the groove of planning events that keep everyone safe, you’ll develop a new way of living and enjoying your community. A time of quarantine doesn’t have to be filled with loneliness and isolation. By implementing these ideas, you can create some dynamic memories that will last a lifetime.
