If you’re on the hunt for a place near Toronto to snag the perfect selfie, you’re in luck because a new lavender farm is opening. We all know how much the social crowd loves pumpkin patches and sunflower farms and now there’s a new field in town. Will influencers destroy the luscious lavender field? I guess only time will tell but we’re hoping the farm is able to be a sustainable venture that is respected by all those who visit.
Avalon Lavender Farm
Located in the heart of Mono, Ontario, Avalon Lavender Farm will be opening this spring and we couldn’t be more excited. If your IG is in need for some purple, you’re going to want to pay this farm a visit. Not to mention lavender smells heavenly!
Not only is the lavender farm a great place for a photo opp, but there will also be a range of on-site activities and attractions. You can plan an entire day trip to the farm with your family, friends, date, IG camera person or even alone!

You can expect to see over 30 000 lavender bushes (ugh I can smell it already!!!) on-site at this family-owned farm. After a tough two years, now is the perfect time to support a locally-owned family business, right? Avalon Farm is also home to a range of animals so you can expect your lavender visit will also include a chicken, horse and pony sighting!
If a photo in the lavender field isn’t enough, you could also snag a pic of the Avalon Heritage Barn which has been restored from 1891! The farm shop offers their own blend of lavender products (think soaps, teas, candles and more). Experiences at the farm include a “cut-your-own” lavender experience to picnics in the field, and daily yoga in Avalon’s Celtic-style stone circle. You can find all of Avalon’s upcoming happenings for the Spring/Summer here.
