Drake surprises fans by announcing that his seventh studio album called Honestly, Nevermind is being released tonight. Although the album’s quick availability is a surprise, Drake releasing an album just before summer festivities begin is hardly a surprise.
Drake is releasing a new album
His first album Thank Me Later was released in June of 2010 and was all that played on the radio station. If his tracks Find Your Love, Over, or Miss Me bring you back memories of that summer, you’re not alone. Fast forward to 2018 and Drake releases his fifth album, Scorpion, in June of 2018 where his songs In My Feelings, Nice For What, and God’s Plan played on repeat on radio stations. How could we forget Drake’s viral #InMyFeelingsChallenge and all the celebrity appearances in his Nice For What music video?
Drizzy has also been making headlines recently. He was featured on Jack Harlow’s (aka the internet’s new boyfriend) song Churchill Downs which was released last month. He launched his luxury candle line in May called Better World Fragrance house which is available at Shoppers Drug Mart. Oh, and let’s not forget about the picture he posted with Taylor Swift in April looking quite cozy.

Fans were excited to see that Kanye West was quick to like his post about the album release. However, there isn’t much information about the album but Drake will be giving more details on the first episode of his new SiriusXM radio show called Table for One. The show is airing at 11 pm – one hour before his album drops.
His announcement was surely a lovely surprise for his fans. While we wait to listen to his album we’re definitely sensing a new summer smash hit from one of your favourite Torontonians.
