As the spooky season has officially began, it’s finally the time to start getting ready for Halloween! We know it’s still a whole month before it, but the good costume requires a lot of time and effort. To save you some time, we’ve already got the list of Toronto’s best costumes and decor shops that offer a variety of products (even for your pets!). Check it out and get ready!

Thunder Thighs

Started in 1978 by Lynda Kemp, Thunder Things is now Canada’s premiere costume renting company, that provides them for movies, TV and theatrical productions both in Canada and around the world.

Eva’s Toronto Costumes

The main goal of Toronto Costumes is to carry high quality costumes at affordable prices. Available both for pick up and shipping, it’s a good place to go if you’re in a mood for something sexy for this Halloween.

Costumes Super Centre

Costume Supercentre has a wide variety of adult, kids, and pet costumes for all possible occasions. They’re also selling decorations, so if you’re feeling like you just want to get everything delivered to you (because there’s no brick-and-mortar store), it’s a place to go.

Kigurumi

This might not be for everyone, but if you can’t decide on who you want to be for Halloween, Kigurumi may be your choice. They’re nice, they’re comfy, and you definitely will wear it again after the party.

Oya Costumes

Oya Costumes is Canada’s finest internet costume store, which is  selling costumes, hats, makeup, decor , masks, shoes and lots more. The variety of costumes is just great so whatever is on your mind – you can find it there.

Halloweencostumes.ca

Halloweencostumes.ca claims to have the largest selection of Halloween costumes, and they’re definitely right. With a bunch of their own made costumes, accessories, decor and so on, they’re aiming to provide the best holiday experience possible. Also, if you’re seeking the matching costume ideas, it’s a good place to look for them!

Wholesale Halloween Costumes

Wholesale Halloween Costumes is the year-round source for children, adult, and pet costumes. Also they’re providing a large selection of hats, wigs, masks, make-up and so on.

Exile Vintage

Exile is a vintage fashion store that’s been serving Torontonians for over 30 years. It was originally opened in 1975 with punk, DIY and anti-war sensibilities, and now it’s a perfect vintage shopping destination with a variety of costumes as well.

Party City

Party City is all about making each moment special. Their goal is to help you to get the best experience ever, nevertheless it’s your birthday, Halloween, or just a night out. With hundreds of stores across Canada and U.S., Party City is a great choice to get your costume from or just to come in for some inspiration.

Value Village

Even though it may seem too obvious, the thrift stores, especially Value Village, are a great way to get the most unusual DIY costume. With hundreds of locations around the city, you can just come by to the one closest to you and go through a bunch of retro and modern costumes, decorations and accessories.

Reflections Vintage

One more vintage store you might want to check out is Reflections Vintage. They have a great selection of vintage costumes and masks, as well as it’s just a way to find some inspiration for your outfit.

Theatrics Plus

Theatrics Plus is one of the best costume shops in Toronto with a user friendly website that has a great selection of costumes and supplies.

Theatrix Costume House

Theatrix Costume House, started in 1965, has a selection of more than 50,000 rental costumes for men, women and children, including specialized costumes from Broadway productions. The 4000 square foot atelier in downtown Toronto with friendly enthusiastic staff will bring you the perfect experience.

Candy’s Costumes

Candy’s Costume Shop is sure that dressing up isn’t just for Halloween. Serving year-round, they’re providing hundreds of costumes and encouraging people to enjoy the dressing up throughout the year. They’re also posting the event listings for costume events in Toronto on their Facebook, so if it’s something you might be interested in, check it out.

It’s My Party

It’s My Party is another place to go if you’re looking for more than just costumes, as among them they’re also providing make-up essentials, wigs, masks, and even contact lenses.

Amazing Party Store

Amazing Party Store is serving in Toronto for over 20 years now with both brick-and-mortar store and an amazing website. Serving all year round, they’re giving you the chance to get Halloween costume in mid summer and prepare for Christmas in September.

Malabar Store

Malabar is the oldest and the greatest costume shop in Toronto. Started in 1900 in Winnipeg, it now has retail stores in Toronto and Ottawa where they sell costumes, theatrical make up as well as rent high-quality theatrical costumes that were originally produced for the stage. Since 2003 they also have an online division as an extension of the retail shop.

Spirit Halloween

And our personal favourite, Spirit Halloween. Started in 1983, Spirit now has over 1,300 locations across Canada and U.S. and a website store. Their stores open in late August through early November, providing everything you may need for Halloween with “So Much Fun It’s Scary” mission statement. Since 2006 they’re also raising money to support the Child Life department across Canadian and U.S. hospitals to make them less scary for kids and their families.

BONUS PET COSTUMES

However they’re a bunch of pet costumes provided on the listed websites and stores, here are two pet costume shops you might want to check out even if you don’t have a pet (and may be it’ll make you want to get one). You can even get a pair costume for you and your pet!
