One of our long-time favourite spas, Rhythm Spa (199 Church Street – suite 2), made us love them just a little bit more last night with their special charity event in support of Nourish the Children. Rhythm Spa is a full-service day spa founded by Dr. Maria Moses, a former dentist who left a life of staring into mouths for one where she gets to make people beautiful and happy. Who could blame her? FYI, she’s also Toronto’s reigning queen of eyebrow threading. Seriously, the woman works miracles.
Rhythm Spa threw a soiree in support of NuSkin’s charity, Nourish the Children, to help feed children in the third world for a year. For $35 ($25 can be claimed and returned in taxes, yay!), guests enjoyed refreshments along with one of Maria’s famous eyebrow shapings and an anti-oxidant scanning using Pharmanex biophotonic scanner. The scanner was developed with $100 million in R&D, is Nobel-Prize winning tech, and non-invasively can show you what your anti-oxidant levels are. It’s so rad that even Dr. Oz has had it on his show. It was a great night for a great cause and we can’t wait until the next one!
