Hennessy Time Barrel on display at La Societe

Hennessy is celebrating its 250th anniversary by touring its Hennessy Time Barrel around the world—and it will stop in Toronto for one week in July. What is the Hennessy Time Barrel? Its an interactive time capsule meant to preserve videos and text messages for future generations. The barrel and its messages will be stored in Hennessy’s historic cellars in Cognac until it is unveiled 50 years from now.
The Time Barrel will be on display at La Societe’s patio between July 8-14. Hennessy is urging both artists and individuals alike to leave their messages in its Time Barrel to develop and gain meaning over time; much like Hennessy has continued to age its products and evolve them in over 250 years.
