Native Shoes Opens Back-to-School Pop-Up 👟🍦
September 11 @ 10:00 am - September 12 @ 4:00 pmFree
Vancouver-based footwear brand Native Shoes is popping-up in Toronto this weekend, bringing a playful and purposeful event to an iconic Rosedale ice-cream shop.
The general public is invited to visit 3 MacPherson Ave. (formerly the longtime neighbourhood favourite, “My Favourite Ice Cream Shop”), to help recycle used shoes via the Native Shoes Remix™ Project. Through this initiative, Native Shoes recycles used shoes – from any brand – and gives them a second life in playgrounds across the Canadian west coast. By 2023, the brand’s goal is for each and every pair of Native Shoes to be 100% life cycle managed.
To make this pop-up even sweeter, Native Shoes will be serving vegan frozen treats and providing exclusive Native Shoes offers for the whole family, just in time for back-to-school shopping. The space will also feature original sidewalk art by local Davisville teens and sisters, Olivia and Eloise Mar (also known as the “Chalkgram” girls).
Saturday, September 11, 2021 (10:00AM to 4:00PM)
Sunday, September 12, 2021 (10:00AM to 4:00PM)
For anyone not able to attend the pop-up event, it’s easy and free to recycle Native Shoes – of any style, and from any brand – via the Native Shoes Remix™ Project, by simply sending them back via a complementary Canada Post shipment.
