The Space We Take is an all-ages workshop inviting participants to use spoken word poetry to critically examine how they move through space – both physical and imagined – and what it means to occupy these spaces in their life. Participants will also explore what it means to “take up space” as an act of resistance and self-determination and the challenges to accessing space in ways that strengthen our sense of belonging, community, and well-being.
