Toronto Afrofest 2015

Toronto Afrofest, presented by Music Africa, features dance, workshops, theatre, poetry, delicious food and other activities pertaining to youth and children. There are 35 live performances scheduled to take place with artists representing both traditional and modern African music and sing in English, French and several African languages. There are also workshops, dance groups, a children’s village and market place with over 70 vendors.
This year’s festival is headlined by Zouk group Kassav, king of Makossa San Fan Thomas, and the dynamic Congolese group Wenge Musica Nouvelle Generation.
Music Africa is a non-profit organization with the aim of promoting African music for over 20 years.
