The Women From Space Festival has remained resilient throughout the pandemic and this year’s glorious return to in-person programming matches the imaginative eclecticism of each previous iteration, bringing together music by cutting-edge female/ non-binary artists from across a wide span of genres.

This year features the legendary Sook-Yin Lee (a musician, filmmaker, journalist and former Much Music VJ), inuk throat singing innovators PIQSIQ, Lisa Conway (aka LCON), celebrated improvisational virtuosi such as Marilyn Lerner, Lori Freedman, a quartet of emerging exploratory harpists, and many more. Many performances also include collaborations across artistic disciplines and feature artists like Aisha Sasha John, who was shortlisted for the Griffin Poetry Prize, and acclaimed multidisciplinarian Peter Morin.
