This week we fell madly in love; fully consumed by the vibrant pinks and electric blues of Nicole Bridger’s Ready to Love spring/summer collection. Inspired by Vancouver-based artist and friend Zoë Pawlak, Bridger paired bold, abstract prints with calming, neutral tones on silks, linens, and jersey fabrics. Love was all around at East Side Studios and we were hooked.
Guests were slowly seduced as they sipped on fine wine from E. & J. Gallo Winery and nibbled on decadent dark chocolate (which we were delighted to hear was sugar-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free) presented by the charming chocolatiers of Julie Beyer’s For the Love of Food. The open space concept and white brick walls of East Side Studios provided a beautiful backdrop for Bridger’s multi-coloured looks, displayed against the walls like paintings in an art gallery. Poised models positioned themselves on platforms as the crowd meandered around the room with a casual ease that is sometimes lost on the runway.
The intimacy of the evening created a palpable energy, similar to the vibrancy of Bridger’s new collection. With pieces that include ripe red wrap dresses, flowing emerald slips, splashy sapphire and fresh fuchsia tones, crisp white shift skirts and bright neon hues on silks, the collection is youthful, passionate, and rivals two teenagers in love.
Nicole Bridger’s spring/summer collection is now available in store and is not only ready to wear, but ready for love.
