Toronto Patty Fest
The event will be hosted by the Afro-Caribbean Farmers’ Market and York-Eglinton BIA. The inaugural festival is expected to happen on August 6 at Eglinton Avenue West. There will be a range of vendors offering their take on the dish that unites many. The announcement was made in celebration of Jamaican Patty Day.
For decades, residents of Toronto have been enjoying authentic variations of a Jamaican patty. Popular spots like Randy’s, Caribbean Queen of Patties, Patty Time, and so many more have continued to attract attention from all over. The beauty of this pastry dish is that it can be made with a variety of different fillings when it comes to the meat and vegetables.
