On Tuesday, we stopped by the Thompson Hotel to try out cocktails made by French mixologist Ludovic Miazga, the Global Ambassador for Grey Goose. Miazga was mixing up drinks made exclusively with Grey Goose Cherry Noir as the featured ingredient. We tend to consume more fruit in summer, so we were of course psyched about that. Besides, Grey Goose gets its cherries for Cherry Noir from orchards in the southwest of France, which we like to think makes them even more flavourful and perhaps healthier. We won’t be sharing that insight with our doctor, however. Our favourite drink made by Miazga was definitely the Grey Goose Cherry Fizz (1.5 oz Cherry Noir, 0.5 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice, 0.75 oz simple syrup and topped with club soda). It’s a drink we could easily sip on a sunny afternoon, and it looks like lemonade when served in a tall glass so you can easily feign innocence if you decide to start your afternoon cocktails a little earlier than scheduled. Why not? It’s summer.
