These days more than ever before, Toronto is just booming with celebrity sightings, if not just casually strolling down the street on a weekday afternoon… From Shawn Mendes, to the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger to even Adam Sandler, who’s quickly become an iconic face seen in the Bloor-Yorkville area. On the other hand the Mississauga-born star, most known for her role in Pretty Little Liars, Shay Mitchell is known to be not only vocal about being a proud Canadian, but also vocal about her favourite restaurants in Toronto too.
On a recent AMA (ask me anything) segment on her Instagram stories, Mitchell was asked what her Top 3 restaurants in Toronto area and the star did not hesitate to share. On the contrary, she shouted out the former Island Foods restaurant that has permanently closed and asks her followers that if anyone knows the sisters that owned it, to have them reach out to her. Will there be a resurrection for Island Foods? We sure hope so. But for now, we can enjoy these other 3 Shay Mitchell restaurant hotspots in The 6ix.
3 of Shay Mitchell’s favourite Toronto restaurants
When speaking out about her favourites, Shay Mitchell definitely makes sure to classify them by categories… best Thai food, pizza, and overall restaurant. Unsurprisingly, there is a common denominator favourite that many other stars like Dj Khalid and Toronto’s very own champagne papi (Drake) also frequent quite often.
Best restaurant for Thai food in Toronto:
Pai Toronto
As a matter of fact, even NHL’s PK Suban was seen there a couple days ago, and they even have a running hashtag, #CelebsAtPaiToronto. But, we couldn’t agree more… neither the food nor do chef Nuit and her husband Jeff Regular’s humility and graciousness ever disappoint — no wonder they’re VIBE cover star alumni. 😉 Located at 18 Duncan St. in the entertainment district (you can’t miss it, because the line wil give it away).
Best restaurant for Pizza in Toronto:
Bitondo Pizzeria
IYKYK Bitondo has been a hidden gem for some of the best, greasiest, slices of pie in the city. Located at 11 Clinton St. in little Italy.
Dubbed the best, and her most favourite, restaurant in Toronto:
Joso’s Restaurant
Probably the most celebrity acclaimed restaurant in the city. Located at 202 Davenport Rd. in the Bloor-Yorkville meets the Annex area.
But we all know her favourite sushi, much like Patrick Harris, is from Miku.
