Now, we all know that crazy and weird food concoctions are just one of the things that makes the CNE event so beloved. Whether you’re more into sweets or savoury, there’s usually something new to try for everyone. But how about a mixture of the two, like a couple of popular condiments and ice cream? Well, that’s what the event is inviting you to check out this year, with ketchup-flavoured and mustard-flavoured ice cream at CNE.
Unique ice cream at CNE
Oh yeah, you absolutely read that right. It’s soft serve that comes in the flavours (and colours) of the two condiments. I guess this is one way to experience the best of summer in a memorable way? The ice cream is coming to the CNE, courtesy of Harrison Swift, a local Toronto vendor who’s no stranger to offering treats at the iconic event.
The ice cream will be available in either of the individual flavours or you can also get them both together, if you’re in a really daring mood. And an unusual soft serve calls for unusual toppings, like pretzels and fries, which is what you can find at the So Cute Ice Cream booth at the CNE Midway.

As always, the food scene at the exhibition is bound to be off the books. There’s a beer fest, a whole bunch of food truck festivals, and more crazy creations such as this ice cream.
